Body/Surface Piercings

Navel Piercing (ages 15+)

  • Initial piercing is performed with a 14-14-12+ gauge oversized curved barbell.

    This piercing is anatomy dependent!

The barbell can be downsized (change to a fitted curve [$30-55] that is interchangeable with initial stud top) at 1-3 mo into healing.

Fitted hoops can typically be worn at 9-12 mo.

Total cost per piercing with classic titanium curved barbell is $80-150

Submerging fresh piercings while swimming should be avoided for 12+ weeks minimum.

Surface Anchor Piercing (18+)

  • Single point piercing, sometimes referred to as a “dermal”

These should be placed in low movement areas and are really tricky to heal. They are often temporary piercings and are prone to migration, rejection and abcessing.

Initial piercing is performed with a 14+ gauge surface anchor base with threaded top. Tops should not be changed inside the 1st year or frequently regardless of the age of the piercing

Total cost with classic titanium jewelry is $120-150

Notes: Submerging fresh piercings while swimming should be avoided for 8-12 weeks minimum.

Surface Piercing Barbell (18+)

  • Initial piercing performed with a slightly longer curved barbell that should be downsized (purchase shorter stud shaft $30) at 1-3 mo into healing.

We like to be transparent that these piercings are anatomy dependent and prone to migrating and rejecting. There are several factors we go over to ensure the piercing will successfully heal and be safe. We offer an in person consultation prior, if the anatomy allows, you will be able to get pierced in the same appointment.

If it’s not we can suggest an alternate piercing that will avoid potential chronic irritation, migration and scarring.

    Total cost is $85-150+

Notes: Submerging fresh piercings while swimming should be avoided for 8-12 weeks minimum.
